This page lists some of the horses owned by Debi Crowley. The horses listed on this page are not generally for sale, but will likely be for sale in the future. Most youngsters raised at Cotton Meadows Farm are not offered for sale until they are confidently working under saddle. A few of them are kept until they have experience in the show ring. Please check our Sales page to see what is currently available.
Vandiver (aka “Quinn”)
Vandiver is a 2004, 17.1h, Trakehner gelding by Windfall who was a bronze medal winner on the US eventing team at the 2004 Olympics (www.newspringfarm.com). Vandiver’s dam is Visions of Grandeur, a homebred Trakehner/TB mare by Mystic Replica XX. Vandiver was bred, raised, and started under saddle by Debi Crowley at CMF and is now ridden by Doug Payne and co-owned by Debi Crowley and Doug and Jessica Payne. Vandiver is a solid 4-star competitor having finished in 22 place with no XC jump penalties at Rolex in 2016 with Doug in the saddle. He was also one of the most consistent horses in the country at the Advanced level in 2016 and 2017 winning the American Eventing Championships (AECs) at Advanced in 2016 and placing 2nd at the AECs at Advanced in 2017. Doug was also the recipient of a USET Jacqueline B. Mars grant to compete Vandiver at the Blenheim CCI3* in England in Sep 2017 where they proved that they are true contenders at the international level.
Vantage Point (Nigel)
Vantage Point is a 2007, 17.3+h, Trakehner gelding by Windfall and his dam is Visions of Grandeur, a CMF home bred Trakehner/TB mare. Nigel is a full brother Vandiver (see above) who is currently competing in eventing at the Advanced level. Like Vandiver, Nigel was bred, raised, and started under saddle by Debi Crowley at CMF.
Given his extreme size, Vantage Point is surprisingly uphill and balanced. He has nice, big, flowing gaits and is a natural over fences. He started his competition career at the Novice level in the fall of 2011 with dressage scores consistently in the 20’s to include a 23.5! Debi competed him successfully at the Preliminary level of eventing until he sustained an injury which limited him to lower level work.
Vantastic is a 2012, 17.1, Trakehner gelding by Windfall and a full brother to 4-star competitor, Vandiver (see above). Like Vandiver, Vantastic was bred, raised, and started under saddle by Debi Crowley at CMF. He has all the positive attributes of his big brother plus some. He started his eventing career winning a Beginner Novice division in Oct 2017 on his dressage score of 21.5 with almost a 12 point lead. We are very excited about this serious upper level eventing prospect!
Delilah (Songline II x Visions of Grandeur) is a 2015 bay filly who is a half sibling to brothers Vandiver and Vantastic. See http://newspringfarm.com/songline/index.html for details on Delilah’s sire.
Piper (Stiletto*Pg* x Violet) is a big handsome 2016 chestnut gelding. Stiletto has been a solid upper level competitor having competed very successfully through Grand Prix dressage and Intermediate level eventing. We will let Piper find his own way in the competition world!
Penny (Chilli Morning x Visions of Grandeur) is a 2017 chestnut filly with chrome. Chilli Morning, a British Sport Horse, was the first stallion to win the Badminton Horse Trials and he also won an individual Bronze at the World Equestrian Games in 2014. With his credentials and a dam that has produced a solid 4-star competitor, it goes without saying that this filly was bred for upper level eventing.
Lottery Ticket (Cash)
Cash is a cute gray 15.2h 2010 Appendix Quarter horse gelding that is just starting his eventing career. He came from a western background but has taken to jumping and dressage quite quickly. We expect that he will be for sale as a low level amateur or kid’s horse in a year or two. He has nice gaits, is super comfortable to ride, and very level headed. Look for him at the shows in the spring of 2015.
Visions of Grandeur (“Tia”)
Tia is a 2000 chestnut Thoroughbred/Trakehner mare by Mystic Replica, a Thoroughbred son of the legendary Babamist. She has been inspected and approved for breeding by the American Trakehner Association (ATA) so her foals by approved Trakehner stallions will be eligible for registration with the ATA. Tia was bred, raised, and trained under saddle at CMF.
Tia has produced four colts (Vandiver, Vantage Point, and Noah) by Windfall, bronze medal winner on the US eventing team at the 2004 Olympics, and a colt (Jackson) and filly (Violet) by A Fine Romance, a TB producer of winning hunters and eventers.
All of Tia’s foals have been very people oriented and easy to break and train. Vandiver is successfully competing at the CCI3* level. Jackson (USEA name “The Secret Agent”) is an extremely talented jumper that has competed through Intermediate with his Young Rider/Owner. Vantage Point is currently competing at the Preliminary level with Debi Crowley and shows even more potential than his older full brother, Vandiver. Violet, Tia’s only filly, sustained an injury as a youngster that has left her unsound to ride, but we expect her to make an excellent broodmare.
Tia is now in foal to Songline (Trakehner) for a May 2015 foal.
Violet is a 16.2h, 2006 filly by A Fine Romance, a thoroughbred sire of several upper level event horses and many hunters. Her dam is Visions of Grandeur, a CMF bred Trakehner/TB mare. This filly is the whole package – stunning good looks, excellent conformation, and a sweet, sensible disposition. Unfortunately, Violet sustained an injury as a youngster that rendered her unsound to ride, but we expect her to be an excellent broodmare.
Violet is now in foal to Songline (Trakehner) for an April 2015 foal.
