This page lists some of the horses owned by Debi Crowley. The horses listed on this page are not generally for sale, but will likely be for sale in the future. Most youngsters raised at Cotton Meadows Farm are not offered for sale until they are confidently working under saddle. A few of them are kept until they have experience in the show ring. Please check our Sales page to see what is currently available.

Competition Horses

Vandiver (aka "Quinn")

Quinn is a 2004, 17h, Trakehner gelding by Windfall, bronze medal winner on the US eventing team at the 2004 Olympics (www.newspringfarm.com). Quinn was bred, raised, and started under saddle at CMF. Combined with the eventing bloodlines in his dam's (Visions of Grandeur, ATA, also bred by CMF) pedigree, we have had high hopes for this gelding and he has not disappointed us.

Quinn is still owned by Debi Crowley, but he is currently being trained and competed by Werner Geven of Poplar Place Farm. This is an exciting partnership that has successfully completed several 3*’s with a plan to compete at Rolex CCI4* in 2015!

Vantage Point (Nigel)

Nigel is a 2007, 17.3+h, Trakehner gelding by Windfall, bronze medal winner on the US eventing team at the 2004 Olympics (www.newspringfarm.com). His dam is Visions of Grandeur, a CMF home bred Trakehner/TB mare. Nigel is a full brother to Vandiver (see above) who is currently competing in eventing at the Advanced level. Like Vandiver, Nigel was bred, raised, and started under saddle at CMF.

Given his extreme size, Nigel is surprisingly uphill and balanced. He has nice, big, flowing gaits and is a natural over fences. He started his competition career at the Novice level in the fall of 2011 with dressage scores consistently in the 20’s to include a 23.5!  Debi Crowley is currently competing him successfully at Preliminary level eventing although he is also quite a nice dressage horse and is confidently schooling third level movements.

Every indication is that Nigel has even more potential than his big brother. Debi is enjoying every minute of preparing him for a big future!

Lottery Ticket (Cash)

Cash is a cute gray 15.2h 2010 Appendix Quarter horse gelding that is just starting his eventing career. He came from a western background but has taken to jumping and dressage quite quickly. We expect that he will be for sale as a low level amateur or kidís horse in a year or two. He has nice gaits, is super comfortable to ride, and very level headed. Look for him at the shows in the spring of 2015.

Finale ("Jet")

Jet is a super flashy black 2010 NA-KWPN gelding. Jet's dam is Camille, our Star NA-KWPN mare (Sir Sinclair x Contango). His sire is Idocus (KWPN) who represented Holland in the 2004 Olympic Games and represented the USA at the World Cup in Las Vegas and the World Equestrian Games in Aachen. Needless to say, we have high hopes for this handsome fellow as a serious upper level dressage competitor.

Youngsters and Broodmares

Visions of Grandeur ("Tia")

Tia is a 2000 chestnut Thoroughbred/Trakehner mare by Mystic Replica, a Thoroughbred son of the legendary Babamist. She has been inspected and approved for breeding by the American Trakehner Association (ATA) so her foals by approved Trakehner stallions will be eligible for registration with the ATA. Tia was bred, raised, and trained under saddle at CMF.

Tia has produced four colts (Vandiver, Vantage Point, and Noah) by Windfall, bronze medal winner on the US eventing team at the 2004 Olympics, and a colt (Jackson) and filly (Violet) by A Fine Romance, a TB producer of winning hunters and eventers.

All of Tia's foals have been very people oriented and easy to break and train. Vandiver is successfully competing at the CCI3* level. Jackson (USEA name "The Secret Agent") is an extremely talented jumper that has competed through Intermediate with his Young Rider/Owner. Vantage Point is currently competing at the Preliminary level with Debi Crowley and shows even more potential than his older full brother, Vandiver. Violet, Tia’s only filly, sustained an injury as a youngster that has left her unsound to ride, but we expect her to make an excellent broodmare.

Tia is now in foal to Songline (Trakehner) for a May 2015 foal.

Violet

Violet is a 16.2h, 2006 filly by A Fine Romance, a thoroughbred sire of several upper level event horses and many hunters. Her dam is Visions of Grandeur, a CMF bred Trakehner/TB mare. This filly is the whole package - stunning good looks, excellent conformation, and a sweet, sensible disposition. Unfortunately, Violet sustained an injury as a youngster that rendered her unsound to ride, but we expect her to be an excellent broodmare.

Violet is now in foal to Songline (Trakehner) for an April 2015 foal.

Actor

Actor is an elegant 2006 Trakehner gelding that we bought as a weanling from Tim Holekamp at New Spring Farm. Actor is by Baron Verdi and his dam is a retired proven FEI dressage competitor with scores in the mid-60's through I-2. Actor is a sweetheart with super movement. We expect him to excel in the dressage arena and be suitable for an amateur rider.

2012 Foals

Noah

Noah (Windfall x Visions of Grandeur) is another full brother to Vandiver (Quinn) and Vantage Point (Nigel). This youngster looks all the world like Vandiver did as a baby. Hopefully, he will be grow up to be an Advanced level eventing competitor as well! He is certainly bred to event. His dam, Visions of Grandeur (Tia), not only produced full brothers ,Vandiver (a solid CCI3* competitor) and Nigel (now competing at Preliminary with tons of potential for more), but she also has another son that is competing at Intermediate eventing with a Young Rider. We have every reason to think that Noah will be just as talented and willing as his 3 brothers.
